I am super excited to have the opportunity to share my first ever Gastro Senses Holiday Gift Guide this year!
Here is a round up of all of my favorite kitchen things, fun gifts for foodies and life/play items I’ve encountered from the past year. Whether you’re shopping for someone else or making your own wish list, I hope this guide will provide you with some inspiration.
This is NOT a sponsored gift guide. These are just some of the things that I love using day to day. The links to items contain Amazon affiliation, which means that I will earn a very small commission (at no cost to you!) if you purchase an item through my links.
#1: Pressure Cooker – Number one on my gift guide is this fast slow cooker by Breville. I was shocked by how much I used this kitchen device over the past year. It is a lifesaver for cooking dried beans, braising tougher cuts of meat, making stock, and etc. It’s the Ferrari of all pressure cookers with tons of features. If you are looking for more affordable model, then Instant Pot would be my recommendation.
#2: Staub Cocotte in festive red – My favorite Dutch oven brand is selling their 4-quart cocotte for an amazing price of just $99.99 right now. This is an incredible versatile size for so many things and the price is a steal. Go go go!
#3: Woll Titanium Fry Pan – This is my go-to brand for nonstick cookware. I use these pans on an everyday basis for so many things. While cheaper non-stick pans can be tempting, they never last very long and are often made with poor quality materials. The handle is detachable and the skillet is a breeze to clean. I am very happy with this pan and it was worth every penny I paid for it.
#4: KitchenAid Mini Series Stand Mixer – While you can certainly live without one of these (and I did for many years), a stand mixer is essential if you love to bake. It also happens to be beautiful enough to leave on a kitchen countertop. I own a standard size stand mixer, but have only heard great things about the new mini version. This would make such a great gift for anyone that loves to bake and has limited kitchen space.
#5: Silpat Baking Mat – A fantastic gift for a friend or family member that loves to bake! Nothing beats these silicone baking mats. You’ll save a ton of money on parchment paper too!
#6: Digital Kitchen Scale – Another must-have in the kitchen for a baker. And it comes with a beautiful design.
#7: Sensor Soap Dispenser – Ok, this is totally a want rather than a need, but I love the idea! Great for when you chop meat or fish and don’t want to get germs all over your soap dispenser. Plus, it doesn’t make any soapy mess.
#8: Glass Meal Prep Containers – handy and mega awesome.
#9: Camera Lens Mug – Adorable gift for a food blogger or photographer in general.
#10: Ecobee Thermostat with Sensor – my husband’s favorite gadget in the house. We love that we can change the temperature in our house from our cell phones without getting up from the bed. You can also place the remote sensor in any room to keep a certain temperature in that room. Our sensor stays in the baby’s room, and I love that the temperature in his room is always consistent.
#11: BBQ Grill Tools Set – The perfect gift to tell HIM what you think about his wonderful skills on the grill. Or to hint how much you’d like him to be the one at the grill 🙂
#12: Fridge Food Set – For the little foodies in your life. I love Melissa and Doug stuff. It’s cute, sturdy and affordable.
#13: Uncle Goose Wooden Blocks – they make these blocks in a million different languages…so cool! They have everything from Chinese to Russian for the little polyglot in your life.
#14: COOKIES!!
Cookies make the best homemade gifts! For people and furry friends too! Some of our favorite Christmas cookie platter items include: Cherry Pie Bars (festive and so easy), Nutella Lava Cookies (they don’t get much chocolaty than this!), Doggie Holiday Cookies (don’t forget your furry friends!).
